During a course called Design studio 1 my task was to work by myself and create project related to the theme “Bring people together” and present the result with a portfolio. I decided to create a chair with subtle features that can assist people with motion disabilities. Many people with motion disabilities still have a lot of possibility to move if they just get a little bit help, and I believe that they find value in having stylish furniture in their home that does not look like an assisting tool that can be found in a hospital. To summarize the vision of this project, I believe that a well-designed chair that includes more people can bring people together, make people feel included by highlighting that we all can use the same type of furniture.
